Hakone Ekiden

I like Hakone Ekiden held in 1/2 and 1/3. Ekiden is a long-distance relay road race. It is a Japanese unique race. Hakone Ekiden is an intercollegiate race of universities in Kanto area, for example, Waseda, Meiji, Aoyama-Gakuin, Komazawa.

I cheered Waseda of course last year. Many people in Japan are excited in the race. I’m looking forward to the race of next New Year!!

Watching Hakone Ekiden is a one of good New Year’s memories.

I belong to Waseda cycling team. I am a caretaker in the team.  Over 20 people belong to the team, players, trainers and caretakers in total.

There are 2 types of items, Road race and Track race. Road race is very famous in Europe, as you may know Tour de France. The race is the most world famous in cycling race. Speaking of track race, Keirin is famous in Japan. It is gambling of track race.

Our team aims victory of inter-college championship competition. Though I am beginner of cycling, I do hard for the team.
